Send us a statement
Upload one recent monthly statement from your current processor, or hand it to your Para rep. A PDF or clear photos of every page both work.
We break down every fee
We work out your effective rate, separate the card brands' costs from your processor's markup, and flag junk fees, rate creep and anything you're paying for that you don't use.
You get a side-by-side proposal
Your current cost next to interchange plus and dual pricing, in dollars per month. If staying put is the better deal, we'll tell you.
Send one statement. We'll show you every fee on it.
Processing statements are built to be hard to read. We go through yours line by line and send back a plain-English breakdown, plus what you'd pay with Para. It's free and you don't have to switch.
What you get back
- Your true effective rate: total fees divided by card sales, the one number that tells you what processing really costs you.
- Every fee explained: the card brands' costs separated from your processor's markup, with junk fees flagged.
- A side-by-side proposal: your current monthly cost next to interchange plus and dual pricing, in dollars.
- A straight answer: if your current deal is fair, we'll say so.
What to send
One recent monthly statement from your current processor, every page. Download the PDF from your processor's online portal, or take clear photos of each page. Statements usually come from companies like Square, Clover, Heartland or your bank.
What happens next
We review it and reach out to walk you through the breakdown by phone or video. Nothing changes unless you decide to switch.
The fees we find on most statements
These are on statements every day. Most owners never see them because the statement is built to be hard to read.
Tiered pricing
Rewards and business cards get pushed into a higher tier, often 3% or more, while the low rate you were quoted rarely applies.
A monthly penalty
Often $20 or more a month, charged because a yearly security questionnaire was never filled out. It's usually avoidable.
Quiet increases
Small markups added a little at a time, buried in statement notices most people never read.
Pay even when it's slow
A charge when your fees fall under a set amount. It hits seasonal businesses hardest.
Leased terminals
Non-cancellable leases that cost far more than buying the terminal outright, sometimes for years.
Cancellation penalties
Flat fees or "liquidated damages" for leaving. We'll find these and tell you what switching would really cost.
Before you send your statement
Is the statement review really free?
Yes. There's no cost and no obligation. You get the breakdown either way, and you decide what to do with it.
What do I need to send?
One recent monthly statement from your current processor, every page. A PDF from your processor's portal is best, but clear phone photos work too.
Do I have to switch processors?
No. If your current pricing is fair, we'll tell you. If it isn't, you'll see exactly how much you'd save before deciding anything.
What's the difference between interchange plus and dual pricing?
With interchange plus, you pay the card brands' actual cost on each sale plus a small fixed markup, and every customer pays the same price. With dual pricing, you post a cash price and a card price, and customers who pay by card cover the processing fee, so your own cost drops close to zero.
Is dual pricing legal?
Yes, nationwide, when it's set up correctly. Both prices have to be clearly shown and the program has to follow card brand rules. We handle the signs, receipts and terminal setup so it's done right.
Will I need new equipment?
Sometimes, sometimes not. We'll tell you before you switch whether your current terminal works and, if it doesn't, exactly what a replacement costs.
Find out what you're overpaying.
