Let customers who pay by card cover the card fee.
With dual pricing you show two prices: a cash price and a card price. The card price covers what processing costs, so your own card fees drop close to zero. Gas stations have worked this way for years.

What your customers see
Both prices are posted where customers can see them: at the door, at the register and on menus or price lists. The receipt shows both, and the terminal applies the right one automatically when the customer pays.
How it works
- We set your card price so it covers your processing cost on a typical sale.
- We set up your terminal to show and charge the right price for cash or card.
- We give you the signage and receipt wording so it's clear to customers and follows card brand rules.
- You keep most of what you used to lose to fees. There's still a small monthly program fee, which we'll show you upfront.
Is it allowed?
Yes, when it's done correctly. Dual pricing is allowed nationwide, and card brands permit it as long as both prices are clearly shown and customers know before they pay. (Surcharging, which is different, has its own state-by-state rules.) Programs get businesses in trouble when the signs are missing or the extra charge appears only on the receipt. We set it up so that doesn't happen.
Who it fits
Dual pricing works well for restaurants, pizza shops, bars, coffee shops, salons, barbershops, auto repair and convenience stores: busy businesses with lots of card sales where every point of savings adds up. If your customers are very price-sensitive or you'd rather keep one price, interchange plus may fit better. Your free review shows you both.
Dual pricing questions
Will customers be upset?
Most customers are used to it from gas stations. Clear signs make the difference. When people see both prices before they order, it rarely comes up.
Is dual pricing the same as a surcharge?
No. A surcharge is a fee added on top of your price at checkout and comes with stricter rules. Dual pricing shows two prices upfront, cash and card, so customers choose how to pay.
Do I still pay anything?
A small monthly program fee. We'll show you the exact amount in your proposal before you decide.
Can I switch back later?
Yes. If dual pricing isn't right for your business, we can move you to interchange plus.
